I am one of only 0.2% of financial advisors in the United States who have pursued advanced training to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and a CERTIFIED PRIVATE WEALTH ADVISOR® professional —two of the most respected certifications in the financial industry.
This level of advanced training means that in addition to offering my clients a full suite of wealth management solutions, including investments, retirement planning, and tax mitigation, I also provide a complete range of more complex and sophisticated services, including asset protection, wealth transfer strategies, and charitable giving.
For more than 30 years, the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation has been the standard of excellence for financial planners. It is a formal recognition of expertise in the areas of financial planning, taxes, insurance, estate planning, and retirement saving. It is awarded by the CFP Board of Standards Inc. to individuals who successfully complete the CFP® certification course work, pass the CFP® exam, achieve 6,000 hours of professional experience related to financial planning and complete ongoing continuing education to sustain their skills and certification. As a CFP® professional, I have met the CFP Board’s extensive training and experience requirements and am ethically committed to putting my clients’ interests first.
The CERTIFIED PRIVATE WEALTH ADVISOR® (CPWA®) is an advanced professional certification, awarded by the Investments & Wealth Institute, specifically for advisors who serve high-net-worth clients. It’s designed for seasoned professionals who seek the latest, most advanced knowledge and techniques to address the sophisticated needs of clients with a minimum net worth of $5 million. The CPWA® certification requires advisors to develop advanced knowledge and skills to address the wide range of complex issues faced by wealthy individuals and families, including portfolio strategies, wealth transfer, family dynamics, risk management, asset protection, closely held business ownership, charitable giving, estate planning, and retirement planning, and more. The CPWA® program takes a holistic and multidisciplinary approach, identifying and analyzing the unique challenges facing high-net-worth individuals and developing specific strategies to minimize taxes, monetize and protect assets, maximize growth, and transfer wealth.
