As a resident of Washington, D.C., for more than 25 years, I am familiar with the ins and outs of this unique area. As a former staffer on Capitol Hill and a highly successful lobbyist, I can say it is like nowhere else in the world. I love its energy, the intellectual prowess of its regions’ residents, and its status as the country’s center of political power.

Earlier in my financial career, as an advisor at Alexandria Capital, Scott & Stringfellow, and Truist Investment Services, I served high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families across the country. Today, I limit the number of clients with whom I work so I can provide them with the highest level of personalized service.

A key component of all this work is communication. I am regularly in touch with my clients to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks in their financial lives.

My goal is to be my clients first phone call when they have a question or concern about their finances. Yet I am more than just someone on the other end of an occasional phone call. I am a true partner who cares about my clients’ well-being, financial and otherwise. As we work together, you will see that I take a holistic approach, considering your overall situation, bringing together all the various pieces of your financial life, identifying weaknesses and opportunities in your plan, and developing strategies to address them. I am not satisfied until I’m confident we have a well-developed plan tailored to your unique needs and goals, and that you are equally satisfied with your plan.

On a personal note

My wife Trish and I have been married since 2006. Among our favorites activities are spoiling our rescue dog Lexi and spending time at our vacation house on Cape Cod. When I am not working, you’ll find me taking extra continuing education to keep my skills sharp, heading out on a hiking trail, cooking on my Big Green Egg, learning to play piano, or competing in a long-running fantasy baseball league.

A perennial learner, I earned professional certifications from the University of Chicago and Georgetown University, a master’s degree from the University of Washington, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont.
